we were young and naive still

Ya'aburnee means you bury me. (That is to say - I hope to die first, for I cannot go on without you.)
This is Not a Test - Courtney Summers Oh my god COURTNEY SUMMERS KNOWS HER ANGST. THAT'S ALL I'M SAYING.
What about this book? I loved Sloane. Loved the utter sadness inside her which sometimes she kept still and hidden and sometimes stirred, moved and stretched her skin and how could she do that? I suppose listlessness is a bad thing but I choose to see it as Sloane holding on.
Her brief hope, the text message, Trace. God, I hated Trace because he made me feel... he was very human. Unkind, touching himself in the middle of the night, insolent. Perhaps cruel. And he loved Grace and Grace was the best of them all, I know it, and I didn't really like... Lily or Cary.
Selfishness, I guess.
Rhys was the best. I like miss Summers's heroes because they are devastatingly wholesome. So it was great and the ending was incredible.
