in this book, my blue-haired bad kid is explored more. i became even fonder of him and his annoying ways (to kita, at least). also, her inhumanity was exposed in several moments - the notion "shapeshifters do not kiss," for example - and i felt very interested in that theme. while kita is our protagonist and we see the world through her eyes, her way of thinking is remarkably different. she survives as best as she can, which is admirable. favourite scenes: kita, nathanial and my blue-haired kid discussing, kita and my blue-haired kid, and... when kita gets an inkling of nathanial's thoughts.
better than the first, i'd dare to say.
