What sounds like a compelling, romantic plot is really just about a girl talking to her cat, swimming, and talking to a rather strange boy. Love interests are allowed to be odd, of course, but um, the SECOND time he sees her he says he will protect her with his goddamn life and just no.
Not my cup of tea. Too bad.
